Communication system
The communication system developed within the project enables wireless data transmission within the longwall panel and further transmission to the surface – to the dispatcher systems. The idea of the system is shown in the figure.

The system consists of the following components:
EB.BCC-01 pressure sensor
The EB.BCC-01 pressure sensor is used for wireless pressure measurement in the cylinders of the powered shield support. Main parameters of device are:

EB.AP-01 Intrinsically safe access point (EB.APG-01 main part and EB.APR-01 radio part)
EB.AP-01 is an intrinsically safe access point for reading data from an intrinsically safe wireless sensor network. EB.AP-01 consists of two parts: EB.APR-01, which is an antenna module that enables communication with each sensor at 2.4 GHz, and a main module EB.APG-01, which collects data from sensors and enables communication with the Ethernet network.

EB.PD-01 diagnostic pilot
The diagnostic pilot EB.PD-01 enables communication with the network of wireless sensors for ET-type mobile terminals.
